Lolita Meet Up in February

Hello again dear readers,

So about two weeks ago (yes, I'm a little behind) a Lolita Meet Up took place in Vienna!
I had been looking forward to this meet up since it had been announced, so I was really excited!

The lolitas gathered next to an underground station before we started off towards the National Library.
I filmed our group a little bit while walking through the inner city of Vienna (I'll add the video during the next days).

Then we took pictures at a square right next to the library!

Day 8 – 10 songs that inspire you for lolita

Hello!

The exam weeks at university are finally over & now I'm on holidays in the mountains

Wah these past weeks were terrible; my eyes felt like they were going to pop out any minute; they hurt SO much because I had been sitting far too long in front of the screen, studying... X___x

Plus I'm such a clumsy kid I managed to miss day 8 and did day 9 first...
Therefore I'm establishing the order again by doing day 8 now !
Let's start!

01. As you might already know I'm a deerstalker fan, so of course I like MC Melod¥ Doll aswell xD

Day 9 – 10 things you will never do in lolita

Good evening!
Onto today's challenge topic!

01. Sit around in Lolita at home. I'd be constantly worried about wrinkling my clothes or getting cat hair on them, so I always change into whatever else I can grab as soon as I'm home.

02. Partying in lolita. I just hate it when the smell of tobacco sticks to my clothes and I especially don't want it on my Lolita stuff. Also drunk people tend to knock their drinks over more often and voilà there'd be another disaster.

03. What I'll never do again if possible: travel longer in Lolita. I don't think it's too uncomfortable, but  in my opinion long distance flights are spent best in fluffy jogging pants.

04. Go to lab class in Lolita. No lolita for me while tossing around chemical substances!

05. Paint in Lolita. I once got acrylic colour on a shirt I had just bought - and oh I don't want to imagine it on my dear Lolita stuff !

06. Go to my summer job in Lolita. We don't have an aircon and my colleague refuses to open any of the windows; so I basically sit in there with as little clothes on as possible xD

07. Go to rock/metal concerts in Lolita. Again drunk people and all the squishing - I'm mostly in the front where the real party is going on, so it's all crowded! Plus again drunk people with no control over their beer cups whatsoever!

08. Go to a music festival in Lolita. Simply, nope.

09. Go to a job interview in Lolita. No need to shock people unaware of Lolita on that occasion. Although I also share the opinion that one's abilities should be ranked higher than one's looks or way to dress, society unfortunately doesn't think that way. Therefore I'd still be myself but kind of 'join in on the game' for a job interview.

10. Wear Lolita before kickboxing class. Would be way too much of a fuzz to get in and out of all those clothes.

Okay back to my studies...
On Monday I have a huge exam and IT'S SO HORRIBLY boring to study for it! *rant*

Take care & thank you for reading!

Randomness #01

About something I found a few days ago...

I've been adoring deerstalker pictures video projects for a long time. They make such beautiful, hilarious and creative Lolita themed videos :)

Their newest video though is my favourite so far! I already watched it a billion times since it was released three days ago x')

It's the first part of a documentary about 'The Secret Life of the Lolita' ; which showcases a rare glimpse into the daily life of a Lolita ;)

I looove it !
Haha, I wish every day was like that... hunting postmen and getting parcels filled with beautiful dresses ;)

What do you think about this video?

Enjoy!

Day 7 – 10 people who inspire your lolita style

Hello and welcome to the challenge of the day!

Alrighty, this is going to be pretty though to answer. I actually don't have specific people who inspire my style, but I do have some sources of inspiration so I'm going to talk about those instead.

01. The daily_lolita community on livejournal. I like browsing through pictures and looking at the pretty coordinates of Lolitas from all over the world. I then take ideas from there and come up with my own looks.

02. Local lolitas. Although I see most of them every few months, some Lolitas of our community inspire me to create new outfits when I meet up with them. This is the best opportunity to collect some real-life fashion ideas!

03. Lolita themed YouTube vlogs. I'm a real sucker for those. I especially like the 'Lolita Blog Carnival' videos and wardrobe or  other lolita tag posts. Make me want to vlog again. My favourite channel of all time is my friend Mimi's (because she's the coolest).

04. Lolita themed documentaries. There are very few that actually are well made, but I adore 'Sugar Coated' by 72U and well also something more non-documentary, but absolutely hilarious are the projects of deerstalkerpictures. Love love love it.

05. Magazines. I love to take my time and browse through issues of for instance the Gothic Lolita Bible and check out the newest trends and craziness brands and fashion lovers have come up with.

06. Blogs written by Lolitas. I follow a trizillion of Lolita blogs and now even my tumblr has been totally lolified because I follow too many Lolita tumblrs so my dashboard is all kawaii now :P

07. Other styles I like. I take inspiration from old fashioned and vintage stuff, mori girl style, gothic style and many more that come my way.

08. My very own fantasies. I've had quite the imaginative, creative head since childhood and this head helps me to think of new craziness to combine, mix and match and also incooperate new ideas into my style.

09. Period dramas. Watching actresses wearing beautiful dresses, ribbons and bonnets... this is what I need to inspire me to wear more Classic lolita haha :)

I think I'm out of ideas now, so yeah  no 10th point, sorry xD

I'm really fond of the fact that my blog is so active now. Also I've immersed into a phase of total lolita craze; I wish I had the bank account of Bill Gates (guess it would soon be down to half of its previous content regarding my current wanting-to-get-all-the-things mania x'));

Still I'm more determined than ever to extend my lolita wardrobe and strengthen its weak points (socks, blouses, accessories), even though that will mean that I won't travel as much this year.

Have a good day & thank you for reading!

Day 6 – 10 things you can’t live without in lolita

Hello there!

Today I'm going to be part of an oboe class concert, so I'll have to get everything done and get rehearsing :)

01. A proper petticoat! Without poof it's just half the fun!

02. Parasols. I love parasols, because I'm super pale and getting all burned in summer, so in order to protect my fair skin I rather prefer to go out carrying a beautiful parasol with me. They even look so pretty!

03. Loliable coats for winter. It's pretty hard to find one in our normal stores around here and if you do, then they mostly aren't that warm - but still - they make wearing Lolita in winter so much more nice!

04. Wigs. Sometimes I'm just waaaay too lazy to make my hair look good or I just want another hair colour instantly because it would fit way better with the style I want to wear on a certain day xD

05. Headgear. Put on a hat and you feel like a real lady (or a real sir ;))

06. Cute cardigans to go with your outfits.

07. Hair styling tools. My natural hair is wavy/ sometimes more messy curls, so it just likes to basically do whatever it wants and not what I want :')

08. A good variety of lolita shoes. It sometimes is a real pain in the butt that some shoes are not wearable in every weather; plus of course you have to match the shoes to the colourway of your dresses!
Solution: buy more shoes xD

09. Shopping Services! Thanks for existing, you make life for oversea lolitas so much easier.

10. Having fun with the fashion. To me coordinating a new outfit or an outift that I like is just so much fun!

I'm ending this post with a tartan outfit I wore yesterday! And I adore my bat clip <3

Thanks for reading, have a good day!

Day 5 – 10 items from your wishlist

Good morning again!

Are you tired of the amount of Lolita on my blog yet? xD

*groans*
I want to employ a cleaning-woman to keep my room looking shiny and nice.
If you have cats you might recognize that problem; as soon as you're done with cleaning up, a day later there will be fur, fuzz and other stuff flying around your place all over again.

I sometimes really wish I had gotten hairless cats, even though I love my hairy cuddly boys to bits.

Today's challenge subject is to create a wishlist of 10 items... only ten? ; _ ;

 01.
(pic from some blog, sorry I really don't remember which one it was :-/)

Emily Temple Cute Biscuit Print OP (in pink)
My absolute number 1 of dream dresses & I've already had to leave it behind (with a heavy heart) at the store twice, because it was horrendously expensive and I couldn't afford getting it. One day, one day... it is going to be mine for sure.

02.
 Angelic Pretty's O-Sanpo Candy-chan OP (in red)
Another piece that I've been adoring for years. Unfortunately it's very rare and hard to find, especially in this colourway. Still, I really would like to get it in the future.

03.
Innocent World's Doll House Sleeveless OP (in lilac)
"Old loves die hard" I'd say to this one; more stuff that I've been admiring for ages and almost got it once aswell. Well, I'll be here waiting for it to pass by again.

04.
Emily Temple Cute's Pippi Longstocking JSK (preferably in pink)
This one I just stumbled upon again recently and I'm head over heels in love with the adorable print. Further this would be a really special one for me to own, because Pippi Longstocking has always been my idol throughout childhood. The red hair I have aquired now, the freckles unfortunately failed to arrive so far ;)

05.

Alice and the Pirates' St. Mephisto Cathédrale (in lilac)
With me and this dress it was love at first sight xD Unfortuneately I seem to have a knack for stuff that is hardly available anywhere hahah... lucky me ( - __- ) ;

 06.
Alice and the Pirates' Vampire Requiem JSK (in red)
Ahh... my gothic heart is thumping at the sight of this beauty! Vampires, gates, crosses... what more can you wish for? Again a hugely popular print in a very popular colourway.

07.
Angelic Pretty's Fantastic Dolly JSK (in red)
This dress just gives off the ultimate retro feel and I have a thing for red and polka dots in general - therefore this one just belongs on my wishlist ^^

08.
Baby, The Stars Shine Bright's Ribbon Heart Bag
Such a nice lolita bag I think. Easy to match with your stuff and probably handy if you don't need to take loads of stuff out with you. I'd probably get it in full black or red with white details.

09.

Emily Temple Cute's Matryoshka OP (in mint)
A recent piece from their collection. I adore anything with babushkas/matryoshkas on it in the first place, so this is the piece to get for me. Isn't it lovely?

10.

Innocent World's Rottenburg JSK (in bordeaux)
I didn't even know this print existed for a long time, but after the IW Tea Party in Vienna I began looking around for more of their prints. The fade of the colour and the night time scenery of the city are done so beautifully, it amazes me again and again.

Generally I need more socks, overknees, blouses and bags to coordinate, but I didn't really want to list them here, so I opted for more of a 'dream dress list'.

Also I have to say if you throw whatever ETC my way there's a high possibility I might like it. I enjoy about 90% of the stuff they make.
Further I've discovered my adoration for IW last year. There are so many of their recent prints that I'd like to get that this list would be litereally exploding.

Wow, this turned out to be one huge post!

Thank you for making it this far!

Goodbye for now!
