Music and I

Hello there! ( ´ ▽ ` )ﾉ

I've been wanting to write a little more about one of my biggest passions on this blog: music!

As some of you might know, I'm generally a metalhead with a preference for symphonic and melodic metal, but also a liking for death metal ;)
Classical music is also one of my favourite styles of music. Other than that I also listen to a whole bunch of more music, stylistically spreading all over jazz, medieval, pop and a bit of electronics like industrial.

In general I always give music a chance, but at the same time I think I'm quite a critical listener. What makes or breaks a band for me in 90% of the cases is if the singer is good or not. That way of listening to music might of course occur because I'm a singer myself or because of my pickiness with voices xD

I've been part of multiple bands and projects and am really thankful for all the great opportunities I've had so far.

My most active one at the moment is Daedric Tales, an Elder Scrolls themed symphonic metal band.

My "Kawaii Week"

Hello there!

As promised and just a little belated - here's my 'Kawaii Week'!

The plan was to wear cute stuff and lots of lolita during my one week of Easter break. I met up with friends whom I hadn't seen in a long time and tried to spend my time enjoying (and erhm spoiling) myself!

Day #1:

I went to my friend Mimi's birthday brunch (where the hostess had prepared incredible amounts of marvellous food and we started to drink cocktails in the early afternoon - silly me didn't take any pictures!) and spent some lovely time there. It really had been long since I had enjoyed myself as much as I did that afternoon. ʕ·ᴥ·　ʔ

Sweets and Updates

Hello there again! ʕ·ᴥ·ʔ

I spent the last month studying like a maniac - I had some very important exams and so my social life was basically set on pause for that time!

Seldomly I managed to take a little time off and met up with friends.

Once I met up with my friend Claudia for lunch at the Jewish Museum of Vienna, which has a really good café attached to it. The food is so extremely lovely, I wish I could go there more often!

Afterwards we went for a walk around the district and went to get some sweets.
Claudia had never tried macarons before, so I suggested to try some at Café Oberlaa!

It's Lolita Meet Up Time!

Hello there!

This year I already was able to visit two lolita meet ups so far! ʕ　·ᴥ·ʔ

The first one already took place in January in Linz!
I was glad I had an opportunity to visit Linz again, I hadn't been there in many years. We met up at the train station and went for lunch to an Asian restaurant. Afterwards we continued to the Schlossmuseum, a museum containing collections focused on cultural studies. It was really vast, we didn't even have time to see everything!

The meet up was topped off by a visit to the café of the museum where we enjoyed some hot drinks and sweets. I really enjoyed myself at the meet-up, it was nice to spend time together again!

A peek into my wardrobe and a big unboxing

Hello hello!

Iiii got a new blog header ～♪ how do you like it?

So I actually had intended to do a wardrobe video this year and I even filmed it.
But oh well... it shouldn't happen it seems!

When I tried to open the video in my editing programme it told me that the file was broken... (一。一;;）
I don't really know what to do.
Neither am I an expert on video editing programmes nor do I know how to fix broken files.

Makes me sad that all the effort should be in vain, but oh well. :(

Alte Liebe rostet nicht

I just re-fell in love with one of my favourite singers of all time, Florence Welch of Florence and the Machine.

Her performances are so powerful and I simply adore her voice.



I felt like I had to to share this outburst of  'Wow'.
I'm thinking about covering one or more of her songs soon.
